how to change twitch title as mod
Do you ever find yourself streaming on a long stream and you want to switch up the game you are playing. There has been plenty of times when I have switched game during a stream and forgot to switch up the Title.
Now this isn't good for anyone. I'm missing out on viewers because my title isn't on point and viewers aren't getting what they expect when they come to the stream.
In this article we are going to take a look at the easiest ways to change your stream title on Twitch. We'll cover how to do this from Twitch, Streamlabs and OBS.
Let's jump in.
How To Change Your Stream Title On Twitch
The simplest way to change your title on Twitch is by doing it directly through your stream manager on Twitch.
To do this go to Twitch and click on your profile picture in the top right hand corner and then click on Creator Dashboard.
Once you open up you can see an action on the right hand side of your stream called "Edit Stream Info". Click on Edit Stream Info.
Here you can change your stream title to whatever you want. Just click Done when you are finished and you are good to go.
How To Change Your Stream Title On Streamlabs
Changing your stream title in Streamlabs is also really easy to do. In your chat section on streamlabs there is an edit button on the left hand side below the "Live indicator".
When you click the edit button an Update Stream Info box will appear. In here you can quickly edit your stream title and click update to finalise your changes.
How To Allow Mods To Change Your Stream Title On Twitch
A Twitch Moderator is unable to edit your titles but a twitch Editor on your channel can however you may not want Mods to have that much ability on your channel as the editor role also allows them to delete vods etc. If you want moderators to have the ability to change your title you can use a tool like Nightbot.
How To Make Someone An Editor On Your Stream
If you trust someone enough to add them as an Editor to your stream this is how you can do it.
Go to your Twitch Creator Dashboard –> Community –> Roles Manager
Select Add New and type in the users name that you want to be an editor on your channel.
Once they have been added as an editor they will now have the ability change your Title or game your playing while you're streaming.
Now you won't have to stop mid stream to change your Title and can keep the flow going without interruption.
Once again I just want to warn you that if you add someone to your stream that has an editor roll they do have the ability to delete vods and make edits on your channel. Do not add someone to this roll that you do not trust.
Wrapping Up
Hopefully you can now easily change your stream title during your stream. Always making sure your Title is up to date with what you're doing on stream is a great way to make sure you retain your visitors.
